Your Passport
Your passport is the most important document for international travel and must remain valid for at least six months beyond the end of your contract. Without a valid passport, you will not be able to travel or join your ship.
Before starting your onboarding journey, carefully review your passport's expiration date and begin the renewal process as early as possible if required. Renewal processing times can vary, and delays may impact your joining date.
Planning ahead will help ensure a smooth onboarding and travel experience.

C1/D Visa (Crewmember Visa)
The C1/D Visa is a mandatory U.S. visa required to join and work on board a Princess Cruises vessel. It must remain valid throughout your contract and is required regardless of the ship's itinerary. U.S. and Canadian citizens are exempt.
Our Onboarding Team will provide a Letter of Employment and guidance on the application process. Once received, you should apply as soon as possible, as appointment availability at U.S. consulates may be limited and processing times can vary.
