Please follow these top tips to have a smooth interview.
- For your interview, we will be using Microsoft Teams video platform, please ensure that you have have downloaded the app on your PC, tablet or mobile device in advance of the interview and test the video and audio to make sure everything is working. PC is the better option if possible.
- Ensure that you have a good internet connection, preferably broadband as video interviewing using a lot of internet bandwidth. Interviews are rarely good if you are on a ship due to the poor quality of the ships connection and driving a car whilst having an interview is not recommended either.
- Find yourself a place where it is nice and quiet where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the interview, and please do not invite other people to the interview with you.
- Personal appearance plays a big part in your interview, so please look your best and dress to impress.
- Display the correct body language, physical behaviors and a clear passion for the role you are applying for.
- Research our product and company to give yourself an added edge.
- Think positive, respond positively and make your selling points clear, after all you are trying to get our buy in.
- Make the most of the “Tell me about yourself” question. We want to hear it.
- Keep your answers to around 3 mins and in direct relation to the question. It is very easy to go off track and forget what the original question was.
- It is ok to ask the interviewer a moment or two before giving a response to a question, as we want your best answer and we’re not going to say no.
- Be prepared for behavioral based questions where “Tell me about a time when…” will be asked.
- Ask the interviewer questions about the role or company.
