Dress Code
Our Dress Code ensures a consistent, professional, and guest‑focused image across all vessels. All employees must maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance at all times while on duty.
Uniform Standards
Uniform must be clean, pressed, well‑fitting, and in good condition.
Only company‑approved pins, name badge, and customer service pin may be worn.
Shoes: clean, polished, conservative style.
- Women: closed-toe/heel, ≤ 2.5 in (6.35 cm) heel, no stilettos, no platforms.
- Men: closed conservative leather shoes; no sandals or high tops.
- Rubber‑soled shoes required in F&B, galley, housekeeping, and safety-sensitive areas.
Uniforms cannot be worn off the ship when off duty.
Sunglasses: only permitted if required for safe work; no mirrored or opaque lenses.
Skirt lengths: knee-length to 2 in below knee; formal skirts: ankle length.
Hair & Make Up
General
- Hair must be clean, neat, natural-looking, and conservatively styled.
- Extreme styles, colors, wigs, extensions, or heavy gel are not allowed.
- Hair must be completely dry when reporting to work.
Women
- Hair accessories: max 3, small, and in uniform‑appropriate colors.
- Makeup: natural, blended, professional; avoid strong or offensive colors.
- Dining Room / F&B: hair must be up and off the shoulders.
- Nail polish: only neutral shades.
(No polish for galley staff due to USPH rules.)
Men
- Hair must be short, neat; not past the top of the collar.
- Sideburns neat, not below earlobe.
- Mustaches/goatees allowed only if arrived with and neatly maintained.
(No growing facial hair onboard.) - Some roles may allow full beards with Head of Department approval.
Jewelry
- Jewelry is not part of the uniform.
- Allowed: one small ring per hand, wedding band, class ring, conservative tie clip, business watch.
(Only wedding bands allowed in food-handling areas.) - No visible necklaces, bracelets, ankle bracelets, wristbands, or charms (except medical alerts).
- Women: one small earring per earlobe; simple gold, silver, or uniform-color.
- Men: no earrings on duty.
- No visible facial or body piercings while on duty or in passenger areas.
Personal Hygiene
- Shower daily (more if needed) and use mild deodorants.
- Uniforms must be changed daily.
- Fragrances: mild, used sparingly.
- Fingernails: clean, short, neutral or clear polish only; no decorations.
- Maintain strong oral hygiene.
- Follow all USPH and ship hygiene rules.
- Seek medical help immediately if feeling unwell or having open wounds.

At Princess, we balance professional brand standards with respect for individual expression and the diverse expectations of our global guests. As part of our Dress Code Policy, we ask all teammates to follow specific guidelines regarding visible tattoos while on duty.
